Dr Harley was very patient in answering my questions about my Dupuytrens condition on my little finger and explained the procedure for my treatment and operation very clearly. He was very reassuring during the operation ,both he and his team helped me to relax throughout. Follow up reviews were excellent together with advice on hand exercises. To have a final review nearly a year after the operation was an extremely satisfying part of the treatment. I am very pleased with the results of the operation , having now a virtually straight little finger.

I saw Mr Harley after referral from my GP, as I had throbbing painful hands. Whilst my GP had said it was unlikely I would warrant surgery Mr Harley immediately saw the distress, discomfort and loss of sleep this was causing me. He clearly explained the condition and how it would be treated, offering the option to have my hands done together or separately. After the consultation I had no doubt that surgery would resolve my carpal tunnel problem. On the day of surgery he and his team prepared my hands and made me comfortable. Whilst the surgery taking place, he explained what he was doing and engaged in some conversation to reassure me whilst he worked. I felt calm and trusting in Mr Harley. After the surgery I had an immediate relief from the pain and discomfort I had been suffering.

What a result! Hardly a sign of the operation on my hand and the slight crease in which the 'scar' sits, so perfectly merges with the lines of the palm that you wouldn't know there'd been a carpal tunnel procedure. And, what a blessing to able to sleep without having to deal with the curse of pins-and-needles through the night. Helpful exercises! Well informed by discussion/ diagrams beforehand and felt I knew what to expect. Progress measurable after a few days as exercises became routine. Driving within a fortnight of the operation in March and able to get back to gardening before the end of the springtime. What a fantastic team! Thank you to Mr Harley and his theatre staff for kind & friendly reassurance on a morning when I was really quite nervous about going into theatre for an operation. Felt I was in safe hands throughout. A cheerful, positive, upbeat team.
